is the first book in a series of Bastian Adventure books, helping young children prepare for medical procedures.

It is meant for the caregiver to read with the 2-6 year old child, as preparation for the IV procedure, but can also be used as a therapeutic communication tool after the procedure. The book also contains a parent’s advice page- with tips on how to act during the procedure.
