Educational Health and Medical Books for Kids
“Committed to medical and health related education through the eyes of a child”
Our mission
To provide children
nationally and internationally, with medical/ health educational materials, in
an age appropriate and creative way.
Our intention
To improve children’s
understanding of health and their actions towards a healthy life and to improve
children’s understanding of medical procedures, to decrease anxiety and increase
trust in the medical setting.
"The two-to-six year old children have little vocabulary and much imagination. They deserve as much preparation for medical procedures as adults, but they rarely get it. A picture book is the best way to help them prepare"
Sofie B DiMauro. RN, Author, Founder Educasia, Inc.
Do you need the perfect tool for preparing a 2-6 year
old child for medical procedures, such as going to CT, X-ray or getting IV
etc?
Our educational materials are guaranteed to be…
• Honest to the best of our ability
• Providing both technical and sensory information needed for the child to prepare for
the procedure
• Entertaining and creative
• A tool for parents to talk to their child about the procedure
• A support for parents, with tips on how to help their child during the procedure.
Research has determined that the child’s understanding of a
procedure and what it is going to feel, taste like, look like etc is important
factors in decreasing pre-procedural anxiety. Even if a child will seem more
anxious after being prepared for a procedure, an accurate presentation will
still decrease the negative after effects of the event. Unexpected stress is
held to be more disturbing than that which the child anticipates.
Bastian Adventure Books
It is a series of
several picture books, where Bastian the cheetah, in the most fun, relaxing, and
informative way, will take the young reader on a journey through all the most
common procedures performed on children in this young age group.

info
“Children need an accurate, reassuring explanation of
procedures, presented in a manner appropriate to their level of understanding.
Deprived of such explanations they are left to formulate their own weaving
fantasies and misguided observations into frightening inaccuracies.
All
children who are cognitively capable of understanding simple explanations of
events and procedures should receive preparation.”
